KUKLJICA is a vivid tourist and fishermen's village on the island of Ugljan in the vicinity of Zadar.

On both sides of the island there are stone and also sandy beaches (Mala Sabuša, Kostanj, Jelenica) surrounded by a transparent sea. One of the beaches contain healing mud for various types of reumatism. Beaches have shallows and are there for very suitable for children and for older people. Some of theme are also nudist's beaches.

In the village you will be able to find grocery store, bakery, fishmonger, postal office, bars...

The nearby tourist settlement Zelena punta is situated in a thick hundred-year-old pine wood on a peninsula surrounded by a stone and a gravel beach. You can practise here various sport activities like basket-ball, football, volley-ball, beach-volley, mini golf, table tennis, tennis and all kind of water sports.

You can go cycling or take a long relaxing walk on the coast. The possibilities are endless!

Those loving a good mediteran cousine will be able to enjoy in various seafood specialities.

In Zelena punta is a good fish restaurant with a wonderful wiey on the town of Zadar and the only discoteque on the island. You can also try local fish disches in meny restaurants in nearby villages around the island.

Kukljica lies on a large natural bay not far from the sea crossing Ždrelac so that it can be called also "the door to the Nature Park Telašćica and the National Park Kornati".

Those loving nautic tourism will be able to enjoy all kinds of water sports in the teritory of the National Park Kornati.

From Kukljica you can go on a trip to Kornati with excursions on the boat every day.A valuable historical monument of Kukljica is the restored old Christian church of St. Jerome from the 15th century wich is situated in the haven Kostanj.

But the genuine attraction of Kukljica is the traditional procession by boat on the 5th of August, when the statue of Our Lady is taken from Kukljica to the church of Our Lady of the Snow in the sea crossing Ždrelac, where all the believers are gathering for the mass.
The legend says that 400 years ago was snowing during the summer on this day. This feast is very popular all around the island. You are kindly invited as well!

To reach our Solei apartments, you drive to Zadar and from there take the Jadrolinija ferry to Preko village on the island. You proceed by car for about 5 km to tourist village Kukljica.

From the sign Kukljica you drive straight on for another 300 m until you'll see our house on the right side of the road.
